East Riding of Yorkshire Council has joined with award-winning liftshare.com, Britain's largest car-sharing network, to set up EastRidingCarShare.com. Car sharing is where two or more people share a car and travel together and

• saves money on petrol and parking
• reduces traffic congestion and pollution
• lets you help to improve East Riding's environment.

EastRidingCarShare.com is free to use - simply share travel costs. It lets you find drivers and passengers online instantly and securely. Simply register your details, where you are travelling to and from and whether you're offering or seeking a lift then this site will search for appropriate matches.

Registration is required in order that liftshare runs the scheme as safely as possible but this only takes a few minutes.  liftshare guarantees that none of the details used in this process will be passed on to a third party.
